The Noida International Airport is set for inauguration on March 28, 2026. Developed as a greenfield airport under a public-private partnership model, the project has been constructed over approximately 1,300 hectares in Gautam Buddh Nagar. In its first phase, the airport is designed to handle up to 12 million passengers annually, with a long-term expansion plan targeting capacity of up to 120 million passengers by 2050.
Phase 1 operations are expected to focus on domestic and cargo connectivity, linking the National Capital Region, western Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states to key aviation hubs, with future expansion to international routes. The airport is positioned to function as a secondary hub for the Delhi-NCR region, alleviating congestion at Indira Gandhi International Airport while supporting regional connectivity and infrastructure growth. The development is also expected to catalyse ancillary sectors including logistics, warehousing and MRO services, while strengthening private sector participation in airport infrastructure under the PPP framework.
